Packing your carry-on bags

Your carry-on bags are less likely to be re-screened if they are packed well. We recommend using bags with separate sections and pockets to make it easier to organise your clothes, shoes, pens, hairbrushes, glasses and any other small items you need to carry with you.

Why does it matter how I pack my carry-on bag?

With poorly packed bags, everyday items can appear to be potential threats in an X-ray image simply by the way they have been packed. This may delay you at the screening point because the item may need to be put through the X-ray equipment again, or a security screening officer may ask to search the bag.
